NHL.com - My homepage. NHL.com has done a tremendous job in the past few years in developing their website from a purely informational site to one that provides thousands of videos, analyses, and news updates.
The Hockey News - In my opinion, the best hockey magazine in the world. THN has dozens of bloggers and sports writers that provide interesting facts, stats, and blogging opinions. Their magazine is incredible and I highly recommend subscribing if you are a hockey fan.
AHL - The American Hockey League acts as the developmental hockey league for all 30 NHL teams but is still considered professional hockey.
CHL - The Canadian Hockey League. This league is an umbrella league for the Ontario Hockey League, Western Hockey League and the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. These leagues employ hockey players that are mostly undrafted by NHL teams and range from the ages of 16 to 21, mostly. These leagues are in direct competition with the NCAA hockey schools.
KHL - The Kontinental Hockey League. A Russian hockey league that is a few years old. Occasionally, this league is able to pry talents hockey players, mostly Russian and European, from the NHL to come and play across the pond.
Chris Creamer's Sports Logos - My favorite website of all time. This site has every sports logo for every team in every professional league. I have spent hours on this site and it has helped in many projects.
billsportsmaps.com - Another great site that shows the geography of many sports leagues around the world.
Down Goes Brown - A comical hockey blog that will have you rolling your eyes and rolling with laughter.
NHLUniforms.com - One of my favorite hockey sites. This site chronicles every uniform for every NHL team since 1917. Not only will you spend hours perusing the pictures of the uniforms, but you will also get a history lesson of the NHL.
Dobber Hockey - If you are into fantasy sports, this is the site to go for some heavy duty research.
Hockey Reference.com - A site that is part of the Sports Reference.com series. This site is the stats central and will answer all your questions about stats. There is also a fun page on this site that shows birthdays and birth places of your favorite NHL players.
Puck Podcast - Another one of my favorite sites. This site is what inspired me to start a blog. Two west coast hockey fans started a podcast that is in its fifth year. I have been listening to the show for three years now and I was immediately hooked. Their podcast show appears every weekend as they give news updates, opinions and funny stories about the NHL. You can also write to them and they will sometimes read your emails on the air. I highly recommend you become a Puck Podcast listener.
Hockey DB - Similar to Hockey Reference.com. This site covers players in the minors and in other leagues as well.
CapGeek.com - Another great site that shows salaries for all 30 NHL teams and gives great descriptions on the confusing system of the salary cap world in the NHL. Has a feature where you can hypothetically trade players and see if those trades will fit under the current salary cap. Used by The Hockey News as a reliable source.
nhlnumbers.com - Very similar to CapGeek.com. Offers different features.
NHL Rumors - By ESPN. Get your fix of rumors that probably don't materialize into anything, but its still fun to read.
HHOF - Hockey Hall of Fame. Get back to the good old days. Has a complete list of every NHL player that has ever played.
Airxess Goalie Masks - The mask designer for Jonas Hiller. Jonas Hiller has the best goalie masks in the league wearing some that will be featured on my blog.
The Goalie Archives - A site purely dedicated to net minders. A chronicle of every goal for every team. Includes other leagues.
Hockey Fights - This sight highlights those moments where grown men are bashing each other's faces in. An incredibly comprehensive site that has videos for every fight, dating back to the mid 60s.
Red Bull Crashed Ice - An extremely cool sport that involves ice skaters in hockey gear racing down an ice course that winds around city buildings. Its an international competition mainly held in Canada.
Sporcle.com - Thousands of online quizzes that will keep you entertained for hours. Categories range from sports, music, movies, history to geography.
